‘I Was Hoping I’d Run Into You’ single from Chris Hornsby

Based in London but originally from the North East of England, Chris Hornsby is a singer songwriter with influences in country, folk, acoustic music and a touch of indie-rock. A real story teller, his debut single is titled ‘I Was Hoping I’d Bump Into You’ and tells the familiar tale of a man waiting to meet the woman of his dreams – but not knowing where to look.

The song is full of energy, the strummed acoustic guitars and pacy drumming creating a sound more on the country folk side of things than the indie rock, giving this a light touch of high quality.

I’m unaware of Hornsby’s next release, but based on this opening effort, it will be one worth hearing.
