For some independent artists, you’re lucky if you get a new release once a year. From now on we will call these the ‘lazy ones’, as Welsh musician and song writer Prints Jackson has vowed to release a new single every month ‘until the day I die’.
A composer for film, TV and and videogames by trade, Prints Jackson has now started filling his busy schedule further with this new commitment, to offer a new song each and every month. The latest in the ever growing line is the excellent indie track ‘Wisdom of Crowds’ (above).
In another neat twist, Prints Jackson is also getting visual artists involved, with contributions for single artwork coming in from all over the world. Not only that, but the video was spliced together by none other than Mat Whitecross, whose directorial credits include movies (Spike Island, Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll), TV series (Fleming, Spooks: Code 9), and music videos (Coldplay).
It helps to be connected with a project like this, but that doesn’t make it much easier. Fingers crossed he can keep it up!
